IMPORTANT NOTICE for SolidWorks 2009 SNL Customers Please be aware that there was a problem in the formatting of SolidWorks 2009 SolidNetWork License (SNL) files downloaded from the Customer Portal prior to 19th December 2008. This problem has now been resolved for all newly downloaded license files. As a precaution, and to ensure the continued reliability in serving licenses from the SolidWorks 2009 SolidNetWork License Manager, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that customers who downloaded a 2009 SNL license file before 19th December 2008 replace their existing license file with a new one as follows: 1. Download a 2009 license file from the Customer Portal by selecting the "My Products" link under the "My Support" area. 2. Save the license text file obtained via the Customer Portal in step 1 to a location on the SNL server. 3. Via the SolidWorks SolidNetWork License Manager application stop the serving of licenses. 4. In Windows Explorer, browse to the 5. Delete both of these files since they could contain the improper internal formatting. 6. In the SolidWorks SolidNetWork License Manager, choose to "Modify" and proceed through the process of reading in the newly obtained license text file that was obtained from the Customer Portal on or after December 19th, 2008. 7. Start the serving of licenses again. Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corporation apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause our customers. NOTE: This problem does NOT affect those customers using non-SNL (standalone) versions of SolidWorks products. |

SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2009 Service Pack 1 notice Due to our plan to deliver item centric PDM capabilities to SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2009 in SP2, we will not deliver SP1, but will combine the software corrections from SP1 and SP2, along with the new features, into 2009 SP2. The new item centric PDM capabilities will provide entirely new ways to create complete Bill of Materials and communicate with downstream applications such as PLM and ERP systems. Our plan is that all future Service Packs will continue to align with the corresponding SolidWorks Service Pack release, such that SolidWorks Enterprise PDM 2009 SP3, SP4, SP5 will align with SolidWorks 2009 SP3, SP4, SP5. |
